Jalen Ngonda to artysta soul, który łączy inspiracje klasycznym brzmieniem z lat 50. i 60. z nowoczesnym podejściem, będąc jednocześnie kontynuatorem tradycji i twórcą nowej jakości w gatunku.
Po kilku latach intensywnego rozwoju kariery — od małych klubów po duże festiwale i sceny koncertowe na całym świecie — wydaje swój drugi album Doctrine Of Love, który umacnia jego pozycję jako jednego z najciekawszych współczesnych wokalistów soul.
Płyta to dopracowana mieszanka vintage’owego soulu i współczesnej wrażliwości, z charakterystycznym falsetem, bogatymi aranżacjami i silnym naciskiem na emocje. Album zawiera zarówno energetyczne, taneczne utwory, jak i bardziej refleksyjne ballady o miłości.
