Youth Novels tworzą Ania Babrakowska i Emil Nowak. Ich utwory charakteryzują się oszczędnym, ale wyrazistym brzmieniem, które porusza i zapada w pamięć. Zespół ma na swoim koncie trzy EP-ki, w tym najnowszą „Blue”, której brzmienie współtworzyli Chris Allen i Jason Mitchell — producenci znani ze współpracy z takimi artystami jak RY X i PJ Harvey.
Youth Novels wydał również kilka singli, w tym „What If” oraz „Woman", który zgromadził 2,3 mln odsłuchań na Spotify. Kolejne utwory, „Skin Rework” nagrane z Samem Thompsonem (The XX, Ellie Goulding) w Air Studios w Londynie oraz „Hands” stworzone we współpracy z holenderskim producentem Ferrym Corstenem (FERR), także zdobyły uznanie. Ich ostatni singiel „2NITE” powstał przy współpracy z utalentowanym niemieckim producentem i muzykiem Frankiem Wiedemannem.
Duet zagrał na Open’er Festiwal, OFF Festival, Spring Break i Męskim Graniu, supportowali też wielu artystów, m. in. Hooverphonic, Father John Misty czy Oh Wonder. W ich muzyce można usłyszeć inspiracje zespołami takimi jak Daughter czy London Grammar, ale w ich twórczości dominuje autentyczność i własna, rozpoznawalna wrażliwość.
